Town Quiz Fans on Season Ticket Pricing
Thursday, 21st Feb 2019 23:03

Town have emailed season ticket holders and other fans a survey quizzing them on a variety of matters relating to the club, including potential season ticket pricing for 2019/20 in both the Championship and League One.

The email sending a link to the Voice of the Fans survey sent this afternoon reads: “As part of the club’s continuing commitment to engage with supporters, and particularly season ticket holders, we would encourage you to please spare five minutes to take part in the following survey around matchday at Portman Road.

“Your feedback is vital to the club and will be used for research purposes and will remain confidential.”

The questions cover a variety of areas such as in-stadium food kiosks but most notable are those on season ticket pricing for the next campaign.

Supporters are asked what percentage they believe prices should fall in the event of Town failing to beat the drop, as well as how they feel they ought to be priced if the Blues remain in the Championship. They are also asked whether they’d prefer to pay a cheaper price for tickets or receive a free gift.

I can't remember the club engaging the fans as much as it has since Lambert joined. I was speaking to a Wolves fan today who said that when Lambert was in charge there he had lost the plot by the end, hopefully he's now found it.

Notawittyname, I don't think Wolves have a great reputation for treating managers with rsspect when the going gets tough. PL is not one to take things lying down so wouldn't be surprised if he did "lose the plot"! It's difficult to have an opinion on season ticket prices without having any commitment from our owner regarding investment next season. If we were to have some assurance that we will at least hang on to our best prospects then I certainly would have no issue with freezing prices, whichever league we are playing in. I know many Norwich fans and without exception they all say their season in league 1 was the most entertaining they have had in recent history. I would be more than happy to pay for the privelige of watching our youth come of age, but woe betide the powers that be if prices are fixed then our future is cashed in.

Saxonblue74, I think we are in for, an almost “treat”, next season. With Lambert building and moulding a largely young team with a few well chosen senior pros amongst them. Yes it'll be League One, but I think we will be enjoying the football far more. And no, I don't think we'll “ rip it up”...... but who knows?!

Have we? I haven't seen an email yet and I've been a season ticket holder for a long time!

Just filled mine in, but was confused on the second section "Have you ever been a season ticket holder" to which I chose Yes. It then goes on to ask about separate matchday tickets etc - and you cannot skip these questions! I don't buy them as I have my season ticket obviously!!
