Town defender Wayne Brown says he won't be signing his new Portman Road contract, not yet anyway. The 24-year-old says he wants to see how the season goes before committing himself to the Blues for another two years.

Brown says: "It has nothing to do with money. I just want to give it two months or so to see if I figure in the first team plans.

"I've spoken to the manager George Burley and he understands my position."

Brown will hope to be in action in the two pre-season games in Denmark this week. A Town squad reported earlier today looks to be incorrect with Brown and a number of other players missing.
