Town Linked With Frandsen Monday, 29th Jul 2002 10:12 Reports in Denmark claim Town are showing an interest in Viborg FF defender or midfielder Thomas Frandsen. Town representatives, Scandinavian-based scout Simon Hunt presumably among them, were present at Viborg's 2-2 away draw with FC Copenhagen yesterday. Frandsen was reported to have had a good game. The Dane, whose contract with Viborg is up next summer, is primarily a central midfielder but also plays at centre-half. He made his international debut against Israel earlier this year and only just missed out on the Danish World Cup squad. This is not the first time Frandsen has been mentioned in connection with the Blues, back in April George Burley denied he had made an enquiry regarding the hard-tackling Dane. Any move for Frandsen, who takes his side's penalties, looks certain to depend on out-going transfers, with the Blues unable to bring anyone in until others have left for significant fees.
