Town manager George Burley and coach Tony Mowbray were in the Carrow Road crowd last night as Norwich lost 3-0 to Cheltenham in the Worthington Cup. Unsurprisingly, Norwich boss Nigel Worthington was less than impressed with his team's performance against the Second Division side.

The Cheltenham defeat was the Canaries' second home defeat in a week where they have conceded three goals, and their form must be causing their supporters some concern.

Nigel Worthington didn't pull any punches after than game describing his players as unprofessional and warning that they face a thrashing on Sunday if there is a repeat of last night's display: "We were hoping the Cheltenham game would be an ideal match to get the loss against Sheffield United out of our system. We will have to do a lot better when we go into the 'lion's den' on Sunday.

"We will have to fight like lions or else there will be a mauling and that is the last thing you want in a derby match.

"That performance was totally unacceptable, very unprofessional. That was Cheltenham we were playing not Chelsea. It was disrespectful. The players will have to show more a lot more pride when we go to Ipswich."

Meanwhile former Norwich keeper Andy Marshall will not be doing any press interviews in the run-up to the game, Town feeling that it is important for him to concentrate on the match itself.
