Bent Misses England Call Monday, 7th Oct 2002 15:42 Darren Bent is likely to miss out on joining up with the England U19 side for their match with Yugoslavia at Kidderminster on Thursday. Team-mate Darren Ambrose will meet up with the squad but will play no part in the game. Town spoke to England U19s coach Stuart Baxter last week and he agreed not to play the youngsters in a week where the Blues have three games in seven days. The players would just train with the rest of the squad. However, Bent picked up a knee injury which is likely to mean he'll stay at Portman Road. Ambrose alone will now join the squad after Tuesday's match at Grimsby and will rejoin Town on Friday. Hermann Hreidarsson will probably travel to join the Iceland squad ahead of their European Championship qualifiers against Scotland and Lithuania despite his back injury. The Icelander picked up the knock against Derby, but is improving each day and was involved in training today.
