IpswichT62OldBoy ... And before that the away fans were in the North Stand, with no fence at all between us - just a line of fairly amiable police officers who used to enjoy the games as much as us, albeit interrupted by having to deal with the occasional scuffle. There was violence but most of the time it was more pantomime than serious. I absolutely loved Portman Road in the mid-1970s.

Being on the west coast of Canada I don't get to as many matches as I would like given I have supported Town since '62. But this seems to be one of the most exciting times, maybe just the contrast with last few years. I hope the noise level in PR is as loud as it was in the late 70s and 80s when I was a regular.
One thing I have always thought would be good (maybe its been tried) Thin Lizzy Boys are back in Town
The [Tractor] boys are backin[g] Town, the Boys are backing Town, la la la laa la, la la laa, la Ipswich

Yes I know, actually, there wasn't a fence in the 70's, just Police separating us! And, yeah, I know Churchman's is renowned for being quiet, just wish it wasn't!

The Churchman's always was a more family oriented stand with children taking their milk crates to stand on.

The north was for those who wanted to jump up and down, have a sing after a few pints and taunt the away fans.

Great memories of the electric atmosphere that was created being part of that.

Churchman's for me these days unfortunately.

Legends is much comfortable for my bovril, blanket and slippers.

Being one of our supposed promotion rivals, a win against the Owls will make a statement of intent for the rest of the season and build further confidence whereas a defeat will just bring all those nagging doubts creeping back in.

Hopefully Cook lays an unchanged team with Penney for Coulson if he's injured. Edwards would be the only other change I would consider making if he's fit again.

Very pleased to see 20000+ fans tomorrow, I'll be there cheering on town of course but come end of the season if town can win the league & weds 2nd, winning promotion together words won't explain my happiness😆😆
