The most unlikely name to be linked with the vacant position at Portman Road so far has to be Frenchman Philippe Troussier.

Sheepshanks has been rumoured to be looking abroad at the possibility of bringing in a foreign coach, but if he succeeded in getting the former Japanese coach that did so well in the summer, it would be a major coup.

However he's likely to be far too expensive for Town and highly sought after too. He only just missed out on the chance to coach the French national team and is linked to many other national and big name clubs.

After four high-profile years in Japan, it's hard to imagine him settling down to life in Ipswich.
