Edwards Nominated For Goal of the Month
Friday, 18th Nov 2022 10:47

Town winger Kyle Edwards has been nominated for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month for October for his first strike in the 3-0 home victory over Cambridge United.

Edwards sent a looping effort over Cambridge keeper Dimitar Mitov from the right to claim his first goal for the club, later adding his second and Town’s third of the evening.

The 24-year-old is up against Sheffield Wednesday’s Barry Bannan for his strike against Cheltenham, Aaron Collins for his goal for Bristol Rovers against Plymouth and on-loan Norwich man Bali Mumba for an effort for Plymouth in the Devon derby with Exeter.

Fans are able to vote here before 5pm on Monday 21st November with their votes combined with the choices of a panel comprising of Sky Sports’ Don Goodman and David Prutton.

@Bazza8564....does it really matter either way??? Surely, the fact that it went in the net is the important thing!!

I'm a big fan of Edwards, think he's under utilised. But with the best will in the world, no way was that a shot. Must have been a paucity of good goals last month to get it included. His second strike was superb though, took it well.
