Blue Action to Trial Cobbold Stand Move
Tuesday, 17th Jan 2023 13:48

Town independent supporters group Blue Action will be trialing sitting in Cobbold Stand A Block at the FA Cup fourth round tie against Burnley on Saturday 28th January.

The group, which was formed in 2018, has traditionally sat in Section 6 of the Sir Bobby Robson Stand, although recently moved into Section 5 for the Rotherham cup tie.

However, a subsequent survey suggested the move wasn't popular with all fans, hence the switch to try the section of the Cobbold Stand occupied by the Fortuna Dusseldorf fans during the Plymouth match.

So much pathetic bed wetting about this. It's to Blue Action's great credit that they're still bothering to listen.

If you don't want to stand and sing or be around those who do, have a ticket somewhere other than the lower north, as that has been the culture there for time immemorial. Simple really.

The ideal opportunity to move some atmosphere in the South Lower.

At the risk of sounding like Keremy Clarkson I have said before that i hate Blue Action.. The tone in which individual members talk to other fans rubs me up the wrong way. The flare incident.. hogging new seats in the North with special first refusal on them.. the behaviour of many of them in the stands. The arrogance of asserting themselves as superior fans etc. etc. Whilst theor hearts may have allways been in the right place the tone in which they have come across has often not been and over shaddows the good displays they organise etc. The tone has slowly begun to change and in turn so does my attitude towards them. The decline in atmosphere has and allways will be because of the North stand development and the decline in the feel good factor arround the club. The upturn can mostly be attributed to the feel good factor returning because of what happens on the pitch. Moving a dedicated noisy group of constant singers to a quieter part of the stand has allways been a good idea there has just never been a large organised that would want to sit elsewhere. The accosustics will sound great the Away fans will hear more of the atmosphere that they never seem to know about. And i invissage a healthy back amd forwarth between Sectioned Action and the North stand. "Can you hear Blue Action sing, No! No!"

Do people not realise that singing and creating a positive atmosphere might encourage the players? Why do you think they clap the North more than any other stand?
