Nearly 23,000 Seats Sold For Burnley Cup Clash
Thursday, 26th Jan 2023 13:10

Town have sold close to 23,000 tickets for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Championship leaders Burnley at Portman Road on Saturday.

Seats are on general sale with tickets available in all stands. The Clarets have sold more than 1,500 of their allocation.

Prices are £15 for adults, £10 for under-23s/65-plus and £5 for under-19s with tickets available here.

Burnley are currently top of the Championship by five points having taken 62 points from their 28 games.

In round three of the FA Cup, they won 4-2 away at AFC Bournemouth with Manuel Benson and Anass Zaroury netting two apiece.

Meanwhile Saturday’s referee is Tom Neild, who hit the headlines earlier in the week when, on the advice of his assistant, he erroneously red-carded Bolton striker Dion Charles when it was actually teammate Elias Kachunga who had punched Forest Green defender Brandon Cooper.

Ipswich Town Women are also in FA Cup action this weekend when Barclays Women's Championship Lewes visit the AGL Arena, Felixstowe (KO 2pm).

Tickets for that match, which are available here, are £6.50 for adults, £4.50 for seniors 65-plus and £2.50 for under-16s with entry free for under-fives.

Ticket prices are great value for money. Kudos to the club for that.

Top two goal scorers in the EFL should amount to a high scoring affair expect a goalless draw then.

Judging from their forum Burnley have sold most of their upper tier allocation as well.

Its a great effort, pricing the ties @ POPR levels makes sense and shows our fans are willing.
Its also the first time ST holders have had access to their own seats as a priority too, which the Seatgeek system wont allow when parts of the ground are closed.
Ive opted out of a fee cup games this season for this very reason

Good to see the F.A Cup is still a valued competition at Portman Road(78 what a day out that was!!) while a serious game the league shackles are off for both sides neither of which want a replay so i look forward to a fast open attacking game C.O.Y.B.

I see Sutton is predicting a 4-0 win to Burnley.

Sutton clearly shows his hatred for our club. I wonder what his prediction is based on, but shows him as silly & ignorant man

Great news if CS is predicting that...judging by his biased bitter prediction v Rotherham we will be in the hat for 5th round!
He's entitled to his opinion but it's all probably done to try and wind town fans up.....laughable really!

trivial nonsense...we are in the 3rd division ...we need to put 100% effort into climbing the tables, not playing in a mickey mouse cup that we will never win at this stage....

Micky Mouse cup? I remember being at Wembley with 100,000 football fans cheering on their team. Flags waving, singing songs, having the best day out ever at a football match. As you all know we won, and the trip home was great to people on the side of the A12 clapping us back to our beloved Town. Then the next day standing at the town centre with a packed crowd watching our heroes on the balcony of the town hall. with the Mickey Mouse Cup? in their hands. We can all dream it can happen again can't we!

tractorboybig - scared of pitting ourselves against the type of team we hope to be playing next year are you? It's not like we're even rushed off our feet with fixtures at the moment.

I'd say judging by the noise emanating from Suttons arse, that he's actually seeing what's going on at PR over the last 12 months and recognising the rebuild for what it is and is actually worried that the big wheel is finally turning full circle…. Which it most definitely is.

He's ignorant beyond belief and demonstrates it every time he opens his trap…… and where's young Terry Butcher when you need him to put him in his place!

Sutton is scum and was always a 2nd rate player .., now he's a 4th rate pundit.
