Premier League Clubs Eyeing Davis
Wednesday, 28th Feb 2024 13:42

Newcastle United and West Ham United are the latest Premier League clubs reported to be running the rule over Blues left-back Leif Davis.

It’s known a number of top flight sides have been keeping tabs on the 24-year-old, who joined Town in the summer of 2022 for a fee of just over £1 million.

Now, talkSPORT claims that the Magpies, the club Davis supports, and the Hammers are two of those keeping a watching brief with the latter said to see him as a potential replacement for ex-Blues defender Aaron Cresswell.

We understand Nottingham Forest are also among the clubs to have shown interest in the one-time Morecambe trainee this season, during which he has recorded 12 assists, the joint-most in the division.

Davis, who is likely to be valued in excess of £20 million by Town, is contracted to the Blues until the summer of 2025 with the club having an option for a further year.

Gilesy. No, not until I’m sure such lickspittle behaviour will never come from Town fans ever again. How many Town fans died of Covid in 2020 when Ipswich Town were an absolute laughing stock and a total joke club thanks to that idiot?!

The summer will see a lot of comings and goings , some we will be happy with and some not. That’s the merry go round of football where money talks. Whilst Gamechanger have proved that they are fans as well as owners and more in tune with supporters than Evans ever was, they have invested for a reason.

Yeah- promoted or not there's gonna be players out the door that we'd prefer to keep, and not much we can do about it. The key is keeping McKenna. Leif is far from the only player whose value he's increased, and McKenna will repeat the trick with Leif's replacement... if he stays.

What a change we have had. We have gone from broken down old has beens and real blokes to selling players to the premier league.

Crucial that we achieve promotion this season, you can't assume that next season we will be stronger. Our squad could be picked over and even McKenna move on to bigger things.

Sad to see him go for sure. But football is a business these days , So, get the best price and identify his replacement( (I'm sure MA/ McKenna have already done this )

Lief assists so many goals that he is virtually irreplaceable, so I would be gutted if he left. But, if he goes to Newcastle (the club he supports) I would understand his decision and wish him well.

Easily worth £20M maybe even more in this current market. Can’t see us selling him because we need the money. He is happy here and would like to still play his part in the up and coming seasons.
