Later Kick-Off at Hull Due to Sky Coverage Friday, 5th Apr 2024 14:07 Town’s trip to Hull City on Saturday 27th April has moved to an 8pm kick-off for live Sky Sports coverage.
The game, the Blues’ penultimate away game of the season with the trip to Coventry following on the following Tuesday, which is also on Sky, was originally set to get under way at 3pm the same day.
Town defeated the Tigers, who are managed by former Blues loanee Liam Rosenior, 3-0 at Portman Road earlier in the season.

This must be some sort of record - the number of times Town have been on Sky this season. It is so tight at the top that small margins such as less recovery time before the away game at Coventry on the following Tuesday may be significant. What is the betting that by the Coventry game comes around that will also be televised live!

Absolute joke when r the tv companies gonna start thinking about the fans. Covud proved how much football needs the fans to make the game whaf it js andyet time and time again the thing that matters the most is the one most compromised

There is no thought or consideration for the fans what so ever. If i was offered sky sports for nothing i would tell them where too stuff it.

Epic games like Bristol City and Mondays against Southampton are the reason Sky keep picking ud for TV, and who can blame them? We're the most entertaining side in the country. A ball ache I know but its the price of success. Maybe we should go back to playing McCarthyball and tgen we'd never be on.

I can’t believe Sky can dictate things like this without protest from the Club. This change means a 3am arrival back home for our away fans. Not to mention the team who then have get to Coventry on Tuesday evenings.

Guess it is just something we have to get use to. When you are successful, people want to watch.

Although this is a ball ache for away fans, I'm not sure SKY "dictate" as such, the offer would be put on the table and BOTH clubs would have to agree to it, and the EFL too I would have thought. And, there is always a winner in these situations and that is us fans who live away from an area where you can get to games. For me as a fan in Orkney, I both curse SKY and love SKY in equal measure! I'm.glad the M'boro game isn't on Sky, yet anyway, as I'm travelling down for that one!

Sky have done very well out of us this year. As the away team we get very little.

We’ve got 60 Town fans here in Asia in a newish “Asian TOUR” WhatsApp chat group who (except those in ANZ) will despair that the Hull ko is now at 2-3am in most of Asia instead of 9-10pm which had meant we could watch at a pub with mates. Then a few days later it’s same again at Coventry. Of course we are irrelevant but I really do feel clubs should push back on some of these Sky changes. The Boxing Day late ko was also diabolical. The good news is Leicester now have to play at Millwall on Tues evening then Plymouth for Sky on Friday evening. That’s an awful schedule so guess have to thank Sky for that small mercy…

Sky are evil and intent on destroying football for their own profit...dont watch their channels...

As I said before - football should be at 3pm on a Saturday & 7.45 on a Tuesday. Clubs need to man-up and stop getting dictated to by tv companies. The supporters should always come first. #IHateSky
