Leicester and Leeds Drop Points
Tuesday, 9th Apr 2024 22:02

Town will return to the top of the Championship if they beat Watford at Portman Road on Wednesday night, both Leicester and Leeds having dropped points on Tuesday evening.

The Foxes still head the table despite losing 1-0 at Millwall, while Leeds moved second ahead of Town on goal difference having been held to a 0-0 draw by Sunderland at Elland Road.

That means a Blues win will see them return to the top of the table by two points, while a draw will see Kieran McKenna’s men move to second behind Leicester, who would have a game in hand, on goal difference.

Let's not forget that Watford used to be our bogey team...it won't be easy tonight so let's not underestimate the opposition...

I placed a £20 bet before the season started, Town to be Champions, it wasn't a punt, I never place bets normally but the way we finished last season and the total transformation of everything at the club under GameChanger and K McK made it fell a good bet.
I got 16/1

....Make no mistake , Watford are a very strong , physical side. We dont usually fair too well against big beefy teams. So here's hoping tonight we keep it tight at the back and dont get bullied over the park as a whole .

No going gung ho, we need a professional performance. No team at the top can feel comfortable. Who would have predicted Leicester losing at Millwall or Leeds drawing at home. The last thing we need is to now lose to Watford andop can expect favours from any of their opponents end up still third. But of course we know it's possible if another Budgies type performance is forthcoming. I'm pretty sure there will be a bit of a shake up with maybe four changes from Saturday. No team at the top can expect any favours from their opponents whether vying for the top six, mid table or scrapping at the bottom. Managers will be looking to get new contracts or save themselves from the chop, players will be the same. It's the old cliche, but there will be many twists and turns. Our fate, due to last nights results is if anything even more in our own hands. Instead of six games Leeds now have five left and whilst that gap of three points doesn't make anything certain to not attain that tonight may define our season.

Len Sunderland drew with Leeds last night….Taking points of Leeds/Leicester isn’t as difficult as once was….

100% tonight with intensity that's all we can ask...too timid and laboured against Norwich, also the fans have to be our 12th man tonight!

Massive game tonight COYBs lets take it to watford as they are in a nothing to loose midtable position. Still more twists and turns before the end of the season , but lets get behind the lads and roar them on tonight.

When will the so called national media pundits realise that football is not played on paper. Last season Plymouth who were the 2nd best team in the league out pointed us. To me it is clear that Leeds & Leicester are better teams than Town but maybe we might do a Plymouth on them
