Reserves Face Fulham
Reserves Face Fulham

Town's reserves face Fulham this evening at Portman Road (KO 7pm). With the senior squad continuing to reduce in size, Steve McCall's side will once again include a number of Academy players.

A number of regular reserves players have moved on lately and Joe Royle says that this will continue to be the case: "I have never been one for keeping players around just to stiffen the reserves. So unfortunately there will be some more heartbreak to come for players who are not going to make it in the first team."

One player on his way out who is included this evening is Lee Beevers who has been told his contract will not be renewed at the end of the season. He is already interesting Boston and Sheffiled United, both of whom will be keeping an eye on his performance tonight.

Alun Armstrong will hope to show that he is over his hamstring injury, however Richard Naylor and Martijn Reuser both miss out with minor knocks. Reuser picked up an injury after slipping in training.

Squad: Pullen, Bloomfield, Richards, Beevers, Hogg, Abidallah, Westlake, Murray, Bowditch, Robinson, Armstrong, Mitchell, Morrow, Peat, Bonwick and Boardley.
