Danish defender Thomas Gaardsøe is considered a doubt for Town ahead of next week's crucial clash with Nottingham Forest at Portman Road. The former AaB Aalborg man limped off in the 15th minute of Saturday's visit to Gillingham.

Gaardsøe has a groin strain and if he misses out skipper Matt Holland could slot back into the defence alongside the increasingly impressive Richard Naylor.

Holland missed his first league game since moving to Portman Road on Saturday, a six-year run of 253 games.

Also nursing an injury after Gillingham was Martijn Reuser, however his was considered a minor knock and he is likely to be OK for Forest.
