Town manager Joe Royle has told TWTD that he is drawing up lists of players he can bring in over the summer. The Blues' boss also admits that more of his existing squad could leave during the summer.

Royle says: "I think it's a distinct possibility that if we fail to win promotion we will lose some players."

"We're drawing up contingency lists of players for the Premier Division and players for the First Division already."

Blackpool's former Everton defender or midfielder John Hills has already been suggested as one of the names on Royle's list.

The academy will undoubtedly provide several members for the squad next season regardless of which division the Blues are in. Royle has already revealed that Dean Bowditch and Antonio Murray will be part of his senior squad but they are relative veterans compared to central defender Aiden Collins, only recently 16: "Big Aiden is a player we're all very excited about. He's playing reserve football regularly now and that's the main thing.

"There's always going to be a good side to the bad things which are going on here. The bad is the players leaving but the good is that it gives chances for young players, and if you're good enough you're old enough."

Royle was speaking to TWTD in an interview for issue 67 of of teh fanzine which will be on sale around the ground before Friday's game with Portsmouth. The Town boss talks about his first six months at Portman Road, the negative reaction to his appointment, the academy and how he is settling into life in Suffolk.
