Venus in Reserves Return?
Venus in Reserves Return?
Tuesday, 29th Apr 2003 10:13

Veteran central defender Mark Venus could return for the reserves tonight when they make a trip to Coventry City (KO 7pm). If he is involved it will be his first match action since his knee operation.

Also back from injury is goalkeeper Lewis Price who has had a wrist problem while right-back Erkan Okay returns after a spell on the sidelines.

Town will include trialist Steve Towers from Midland Alliance League club Oadby Town. The 18-year-old is a centre-half.

Chris Hogg, away with England last week, is also set to play with Town boss Joe Royle taking in the game.

Royle has already said that reserves regulars Dean Bowditch, Aidan Collins, Matt Bloomfield and Antonio Murray will play a part in the first team squad next season.

Likely squad: Price, Peat, Mitchell, Hogg, Towers, Collins, Venus, Chaffey, Bloomfield, Okay, Murray, Abidallah, Boardley, Reid, Barron and Flack.
