Spanish Clubs Eye Pablo Thursday, 15th May 2003 23:34 Spanish reports claim that leading Town scorer Pablo Couñago is interesting a number of clubs back in his homeland after amassing 19 goals for the Blues this season. The Spaniard's goal haul has not gone unnoticed on the Iberian peninsula with newspapers reporting that Atlético de Madrid and Valencia have followed the progress of the striker this season. Couñago joined the Blues on a Bosman transfer in the summer of 2001 from Celta Vigo. After a disappointing first season at Portman Road this year has seen him become established in the side and finish the season as the Blues' top scorer.
