Scales in TV Drugs Probe Monday, 19th May 2003 15:01 Former Town centre-half John Scales is presenting a programme looking at the use of drugs within European football this evening. Scales spent 2000/01 with the Blues but was injured for much of his spell at Portman Road. Real Story, BBC1 7.30pm, discovered that 33 percent of Premiership players were aware of colleagues who have taken recreational drugs. It also claims that 5.6 percent of players interviewed know of others who have used drugs to improve their on-field performances. Included in the programme is evidence from a survey sent to all 2,863 PFA members with 637 responding.
