Two Clubs After Bent Monday, 16th Jun 2003 09:09 Town chairman David Sheepshanks has revealed that the Blues are aware of two clubs showing an interest in striker Marcus Bent. Leicester is one, however the other remains a mystery. Despite this Sheepshanks says that as of now there have been no offers: "We are aware of interest from Leicester City and others but as yet there has been no formal bid." Bent is one of the club's higher earners and the Blues would have to consider any offer whihc came in as they seek to reduce their wage bill, £5 million the eventual target figure. It is almost certain that the other side tracking Bent is from the Premiership. It seems unlikely that a First Division club would be able to match his wages.
