Two In For Marshall!
Two In For Marshall!

Town keeper Andy Marshall has said that two clubs, one Premiership, one Nationwide, are interested in taking him away from Portman Road. Marshall, with a year left on his Town contract, was given a free transfer by Joe Royle shortly after the end of the season.

The stopper wouldn't name the clubs interested but admitted that things had moved on: "There have been developments and perhaps something will happen next week. I have said before I don't really want to leave Ipswich but I have to do what is best for my career.

"I have not had any further talks with anyone this week, I have been far too busy, and I don't have any plans to do so just yet."

Previously Stoke had been linked but it is understood that they are not part of the latest developments.

Marshall, along with James Pullen, Lewis Price, Scott Peat and Shane Supple, has been at Malcolm Webster and Fred Barber's national goalkeepers' course in Staffordshire this week.

Town's other keeper, Matteo Sereni, is getting nearer to a switch to Lazio, however he now expects to go on the Scandinavian tour before the deal is done.
