No Takeover - Bowden Friday, 11th Jul 2003 10:05 Town chief executive Derek Bowden says that the club's share issue in the autumn will not see anyone buying a controlling interest in the club. Bowden says that there will be a limit on how many shares an individual can buy in order the club cannot be taken over: "Safeguards will be in place to ensure no one can buy a controlling interest in the club from the share issue. "It was always possible that someone could try and take over the club before, but it never happened." Town are hoping to bring in around £2 million via the share issue, although it is likely a much higher figure could be raised.
