Two Injury Worries
Two Injury Worries

Matt Holland and Guillermo Graaven are both suffering from injuries as Town go into a matchless weekend. Graaven's injury, sustained in last night's reserve game, has undergone x-rays which will show the extent of the injury later today.

The Town skipper has aggravated the ankle he had a problem with last week and has been sent back from the Ireland squad by Mick McCarthy. Presumably more paddling therapy is in order so look out for Matt on the shore at Brightlingsea.

Town are being linked with Hibs Didier Agathe as the player ruminates on a new contract with the Edinburgh club. Striker Agathe has become a hugely popular figure at Easter Road, but had only signed a three month deal. Now Alex McLeish wants to tie him down with a lucrative new two year deal. Agathe has previously played for Montpellier and Raith and is also attracting interest from Huddersfield.

It is being reported that Titus Bramble will be in the starting line-up for tonight's U21 game with Georgia. It is another highlight in an increasingly Roy of the Rovers season for the local-born player.

Town's Academy teams will meet their Manchester City counterparts at the weekend. The U17s will be at home while the U19s will be away. Both sides lost 2-1 to Middlesbrough in the previous games.

Work continues on the South Stand development. Everything so far has been completed on time and contractors are making a start on the reinforced concrete foundations. While this is worked on drainage, infra-structure and enabling works and the remaining piling operations will be completed. The new turnstiles and the standby lighting's positioning were also both completed on time.
