Jim Sorry for Outburst Tuesday, 23rd Sep 2003 09:58 Town skipper Jim Magilton has apologised for lambasting a group of dissenting Blues' fans during Saturday's 4-1 win at home to Wimbledon. The Northern Irishman reacted to comments made by supporters in the Cobbold Stand. The heart-on-his-sleeve former international says he is sorry for any offence caused: "I was concentrating so hard on getting the win on Saturday and was so wrapped up in what I was doing I didn't really think about what I shouted. "It was really in the heat of the moment and not directed at any one person or any particular group. "I apologise sincerely for any offence I caused or upset to our fans. "We got a brilliant victory and I honestly never thought any more of the incident or realised I had upset people but as soon as I heard I wanted to apologise. "I have said all along how brilliant they have been to us through all these troubled times. They are an extraordinary set of supporters and I know I'm not the only player who appreciates the way they have backed us."
