Wolves Now After Marshall
Wolves Now After Marshall

Premiership Wolverhampton Wanderers have joined Wimbledon in chasing the loan signature of keeper Andy Marshall. Earlier today the Dons approached Town to take Marshall to Milton Keynes for a month.

Town boss Joe Royle told the club site that Dave Jones has made an approach for the 28-year-old stopper: "I can confirm that Wolves have contacted us about Andy and there is a possibility that he will be going to Molineux."

Marshall was made available on a free transfer by Town in May. The keeper, whose contract is up at the end of the season, was a Bosman signing in the summer of 2001 and is thought to be amongst the higher earners at Portman Road.

The Blues may prefer Marshall to move to Wolves rather than Wimbledon as the Premiership side are more likely to pick up a larger proportion of the the custodian's wages.
