Skipper Matt Holland is again feeling the effects of his sore ankle after Saturday's 2-1 loss to Aston Villa and will today have a scan. The Town skipper, who many fans feel has been severely hampered by his injury in recent games, said: "It is still swollen and I'm not able to train between games which is not good. I feel I'm losing my sharpness so I will see how the scan goes and take time to treat the ankle properly, even if that means missing a game."

Town's other injury worry Mark Venus came through the game unscathed.

Marcus Stewart has expressed his disappointment at being dropped for Saturday's game. The striker said he was hurt to be left out of the side, but certainly put a good case forward for his inclusion next week at Leeds with a late goal. The former Huddersfield man said: "I accept being dropped although I don't like it. I feel hurt that it was me. I want to play every game and not to play was very disappointing."

Town chairman David Sheepshanks took in his first Town game since his spell in hospital on Saturday. Sheepshanks was let out of hospital on Tuesday, although he is expected to take things easy for the next few weeks.

Former Town star and rumoured returnee Mauricio Taricco watched Town play against Villa on Saturday. His Spurs side play West Ham this evening and it is unclear how much can be read into this. Obviously the Argentinian still has friends in the area, but his presence adds fuel to the suggestion that a return may be on the cards.

Town's Academy sides were in action over the weekend. The U19s won 3-0 away at Reading, while the U17s drew 0-0 at home to Arsenal.
