Bart Signing Thursday?
Bart Signing Thursday?

Town boss Joe Royle says that the decision regarding Chris Bart-Williams' permanent move to Portman Road now rests solely with the player himself.

Royle says the signing of the second of the three loanees shouldn't be that far away: "We're very close, but it will be up to Chris to make up his mind.

"I am hopeful that we can find an agreement for him to stay with us at least until the end of the season, but I have learned not to get too carried away in this type of situation."

David Sheepshanks and his Charlton counterpart Martin Simons have agreed a deal which is likely to be initially a free transfer with the Blues paying the Addicks a fee if they are promoted to the Premiership at the end of this season.

It is likely that a deal will be completed tomorrow in time for Bart-Williams to play at Millwall. The former Leyton Orient, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest man's 93-day loan spell is up on Friday.
