Town boss Joe Royle says he doesn't expect to make any more signings this season, although he isn't completely ruling out another loan addition before the transfer deadline at the end of this week.

Royle told the club site: “I would say at this stage that it's unlikely we will bring anyone in.

“With Matt Elliott here on loan now and Drissa, John McGreal and Georges Santos all recovering from injury, and Richard Naylor making progress as well, we are OK for central defenders.

“And after Dean Bowditch's hat-trick against Watford on Saturday, you could say we have found a new striker.

“We have got a squad that I am happy with at the moment but you can't totally rule us out bringing in a new player before Thursday.”
