Town's second string were defeated 2-0 by West Ham at Dagenham and Redbridge's Victoria Ground on Tuesday night.

The Hammers finally broke the deadlock in the 70th minute when Aidan Collins handled in the penalty area, Colin Cohen scoring from the spot.

West Ham increased their lead came on 75, trialist Steven Gillespie finishing from close range.

Town fielded Alun Armstrong, Drissa Diallo, Georges Santos, Martijn Reuser and Scott Mitchell, all of whom will be hoping for some involvement when the first team face West Brom on Sunday afternoon.

Reuser came closest to a Town goal against the Hammers, hitting the woodwork with a freekick.

Reserves: Price, Mitchell, Barron, Santos, Collins, Diallo, Flack (Craig 64), Kamara (Atay 76), Armstrong, Reuser, Boardley.
