Scottish Premier League leaders Celtic are the latest club reported to have watched Town youngster Dean Bowditch. A scout from the Glasgow side apparently saw the striker in action for the Blues at Rotherham on Saturday.

The Bhoys are also said to have taken note of Darren Bent's display as the Blues ran out 3-2 winners.

Both Bent and Bowditch have been eyed by a number of clubs in recent weeks, if press reports are to be believed. Bent was reportedly looked at by Manchester City - along with midfielder Ian Westlake - and Bowditch by Manchester United, Arsenal and Spurs.

Manager Joe Royle says he us aware that other clubs are interested in Town's promising kids: "We have loads of scouts watching our players, but that is to be expected given how well they have done."

Town themselves will be looking at adding to their squad over the summer, however, Royle has denied that Motherwell front man Scott MacDonald is in his sights. A paper north of the border had reported that the Australian had recently been watched by the Blues.
