Town's second string were defeated 3-0 by Leicester City at the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday night. Striker Alun Armstrong was the only senior player in a very young reserves side.

Leicester went ahead in the first half through Frenchman Lilian Nalis. Dominic Pearmain added to their lead in the second period before a Trevor Benjamin penalty sealed the Foxes' victory.
