Town spokesman Terry Baxter has issued a club statement regarding Darren Bent's arrest on Wednesday. Bent has been released on police bail until June 12th.

The statement reads: "The club is aware that an incident took place on Tuesday evening of this week involving first-team player Darren Bent and that he was subsequently questioned by police officers before being released without charge pending further investigations.

"We will, of course, assist the police and the Crown Prosecution Service in their enquiries and will hold an internal review of this matter."
