Centre-back John McGreal is a doubt ahead of Tuesday's play-off semi-final second leg against West Ham due to a calf problem. McGreal was substituted in the 83rd minute after a clash with Brian Deane.

Manager Joe Royle told the club site: “We will have a look at him on Sunday but he is a doubt at the moment. The good thing is that he came off straight away.”

Royle was pleased with his side's defensive performance in the first leg, particularly in the second half: "I thought the back four were superb for us, especially in the second half when our keeper had little to do.

“It was wide open in the opening 45 minutes but we closed the game down much better after the break and I'm delighted with the performance and the win.”

The Town manager also had praise for the Town crowd: “It was their best performance of the season, they were superb. 10 out of 10.”
