Town youngsters Antonio Murray and Gerard Nash are on the way back after the injuries which kept them out of action at the tail-end of last season. Nash had a cruciate ligament operation, while Murray suffered with a shin problem.

Physio Dave Williams told the club site: "Both lads are doing very well. Gerard's is probably the longer recovery, but they are both working hard and coming along nicely.

"Antonio is now joining in full training with no problems, while Gerard is doing all the running activities and working with the ball a little bit. He's fine in straight lines but has to be careful twisting and turning at the moment."

Murray, 19, made his senior debut at Derby in the final game of 2002/03 with Irishman Nash, 17, making his senior bow in last season's 6-1 home win against Burnley.
