The resurfacing Mehdi Mahdavika story, first with us on October 9th, may have more substance that we originally thought.

According to Dan Botten, Town fan and former World Soccer man, Mahdavika is more the sort of player we are after than reports previously suggested: "He's more of a creative midfielder/attacker who's scored three goals for Hamburg in the Bundesliga this year (and against Juve in the Champions League)."

The 23-year-old is described by The World Soccer European Football's Who's Who 2000 as a "high-class Iranian attacker of nimble footwork, pace and altruism whom Hamburg like wide on the left. Never seems to have a bad game and also has the versatility to play in central midfield or as a wing-back".

Sounds just the sort of player we might be interested in.

Town are again being linked with Falkirk teenager Mark Kerr. The 18-year-old midfielder has also been linked with a host of other clubs including Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton and Manchester City.

The Blues were first mentioned in connection with the Scot earlier in the season, but the story seemed to disappear only to return today.
