Paul Clouting, Town's Commercial Director is to leave Portman Road at the end of August. He leaves his post to become Operations Director at Derby County.

Since he joined Town in 1997 Derek Bowden believes he's been an important part of the staff: "During his six and a half years at this Club he has made a significant impact on our commercial revenues and been an important member of the management team. However I understand his ambition to move his career on."

As he joins George Burley, Paul commented "It has been a hugely difficult decision to take to leave Ipswich Town Football Club.

"My family love Suffolk and all the fantastic qualities it has and I personally have immensely enjoyed my time at the Club. However, whilst not seeking to leave, this type of opportunity rarely presents itself and I feel that the opportunity to move to Derby County Football Club, which involves a seat on the Board, will provide me with a new challenge.”

A new Sales and Marketing Director has been identified but his name won't be released for confidentiality reasons.
