Town boss Joe Royle was pleased to have gained a clean sheet in Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Randers. Royle also had praise for Antonio Murray and several of his second half subs.

The Town boss said: "One of the few positives was a clean sheet and the young kid [Murray]looked good. After coming back from such a long injury Antonio did really well.

"The game was not a spectacle by any means but we have come through with no fresh injuries and our fitness levels look good."

Pablo Couñago was again off the pace which is concerning the Town manager: "The only little worry at the moment is that if Darren Bent is not on the pitch then we don't look dangerous.

"The subs coming on made a difference, Richard Naylor, Jim Magilton and Kevin Horlock, all did particularly well.

"We knew that the team that started was a little weak in some areas but I wanted to give those players who had 90 minutes on Saturday a rest.

"We will be stronger against Aalborg on Friday but again at this stage of pre-season the main thing is fitness."

Prior to Friday's match between the Blues and AaB (KO 7pm), the home supporters have arranged a fans' game at their club's training facilities.

Any Town supporters making the trip for Friday's game who are interested in playing, meet in Nytorv (the main square in Aalborg), in front of Salling (large department store) at 1pm.

A similar event between fans of Randers and a mainly Danish ITFC contingent ended in a 4-2 win for the home side on Tuesday.
