Irish Academy trio Michael Synnott, Cathal Lordan and Billy Clarke have been called in their country's U18 squad for the four-team Falkenberg Tournament in Sweden next week.

All three players have been capped before at various levels and are normally joined by keeper Shane Supple, who in any case may be required by Town's first team in pre-season with Kelvin Davis suffering from a slight back injury.

Synnott is a full-back or central defender, Lordan a midfielder and Clarke a striker.

The Irish start the tournament on Tuesday against Slovakia, then face Norway on Thursday, before taking on Sweden on Saturday.
