Town continue to have injury concerns over their full-backs with Matt Richards out and Fabian Wilnis a doubt ahead of Saturday's visit to Rotherham, while Tony Dinning has emerged as a new worry. Better news is that skipper Jim Magilton felt no ill effects of an hour against Brentford on Tuesday.

Both full-backs have infected wounds which are being treated with antibiotics. Richards's problem is on his left foot, while Wilnis's is on his shin.

Manager Royle says that the Dutchman could be involved at Millmoor: "Fabian's is on his shin, which makes it easier to protect and for that reason Fabian has slightly the better chance of being fit."

Richards is also expected to be out of Monday's home game with Wolves.

Loanee Tony Dinning ricked his neck in the warm-up ahead of Tuesday night's match and is also having treatment.

Captain Jim Magilton has missed Town's entire league programme so far this season due to a thigh strain but returned in the Carling Cup win against the Bees. He is likely to play some role, however, having missed so much of pre-season, the Northern Irishman looks likely to again feature for an hour at most.

Canadian international Jason De Vos was rested against Brentford but will return to central defence. This is likely to see Guinean international Drissa Diallo move to right-back.

If Richards fails to make it then Wilnis will again play at left-back if he's fit. If not, then a first league start looks on the cards for Tuesday's Carling Cup debutant Scott Barron.

Rotherham will have loanee Paul Shaw back after missing their Carling Cup game with Chesterfield as Sheffield United didn't want him cup-tied. Central defender Phil Gilchrist may also be back after an ankle injury.

Saturday's referee is Graham Laws from Whitley Bay. So far in his four games this season he has shown four yellow cards and sent off Leeds' Michael Duberry. He last officiated the Blues in April's 3-2 home loss to West Brom.

Town squad from: Davis, Price, Diallo, Wilnis, Richards, Barron, Mitchell, De Vos, Naylor, Magilton, Miller, Westlake, Horlock, Dinning, Murray, Bent, Bowditch, Kuqi, Couñago.
