Injured keeper Kelvin Davis is on the mend, according to boss Joe Royle. Davis was forced to sit out the second half of Town's 1-1 draw with Reading due to a back injury.

Royle says the former Wimbledon man could well be available for Sunday's trip to Coventry: "He's still sore, but it's a bit better and we'll see how he goes.

"He's had an X-ray and there is nothing there that we didn't expect. It's a wear and tear problem that has flared up with him now and again and normally settles down quite quickly."

Royle is looking forward to facing old friend Peter Reid at Highfield Road: "Peter and I get on really well and whatever happens in the game I'll have a glass of wine with him afterwards.

"We go back a long way - to when I was managing Oldham and he was at Manchester City. The last time I saw him was at Euro 2004 in Portugal when we were both working for the BBC.

"Coventry lost 4-1 at QPR on Tuesday but the scoreline doesn't tell the full story. We were represented at the game and at 2-1 Coventry were all over them.

"There is no way that Coventry are a bad side, despite their recent run, and we are expecting nothing less than a tough game."
