Good News on Nash Tuesday, 12th Oct 2004 12:11 The Blues have had good news on Gerard Nash's latest knee injury. The Irishman, who has had two cruciate ligament operations in three years, was injured in Saturday's U18s victory at Arsenal. There was concern that the 18-year-old might have picked up another serious problem but physio Dave Williams told the club site that Nash is only likely to be out for only a few weeks: "It looks as though Gerard has tweaked his medial ligament and that will put him out for two or three weeks on the face of it. "He will have some more scans later in the week to see how it's settling down but the specialist has looked at the cruciate ligament and that seems fine which is obviously good news for Gerard and the club." Nash made his senior debut in last season's 6-1 victory at home to Burnley last season.
