Town's current standing at the top of the Fair Play League may lead to an early start to 2000/01. Should Town win the Fair Play League they will be invited to enter the Intertoto Cup which can begin as early as June. Last year Bradford and Aston Villa entered the trophy which can lead to UEFA Cup entry. So far Town have received just eight bookings this season with John McGreal the greatest individual transgressor with just two bookings. There have been no players sent off so far this year.

Town seem to have no serious worries ahead of their match with Charlton at the weekend. Jim Magilton is likely to be OK, while no-one else in line for a start has a problem. James Pullen, the fourth choice keeper, has cracked a bone in his hand and is out for six months while Wayne Brown has had an injection on his problem groin/hip injury. Meanwhile Guillermo Graaven and Keith Branagan continue their recoveries from ankle and knee problems respectively.

Richard Powell has been named as Town's first ever Customer Service Manager. Richard has worked at the club for many years in various capacities and should be very familiar to Supporters' Club representatives. He was recently one of the hosts of the Fans' Form held before the Middlesbrough game. His role will be to ensure that the service the club delivers fans is up to the club's new Customer Charter's minimum standard.
