Elliott Retires Monday, 31st Jan 2005 12:23 Former Town loanee Matt Elliott has announced his retirement from football due to a knee injury. Elliott was with the Blues from March to May this year and made 12 appearances. The 36-year-old had a knee operation over the summer but, after three games this season, has decided to call it a day. Elliot made 719 senior appearances and scored 85 goals for Charlton, Torquay, Scunthorpe, Oxford, Leicester and Town, having started in non-league with Epsom and Ewell. He won 18 caps with Scotland.
