Former Town loanee Matt Elliott has announced his retirement from football due to a knee injury. Elliott was with the Blues from March to May this year and made 12 appearances.

The 36-year-old had a knee operation over the summer but, after three games this season, has decided to call it a day.

Elliot made 719 senior appearances and scored 85 goals for Charlton, Torquay, Scunthorpe, Oxford, Leicester and Town, having started in non-league with Epsom and Ewell. He won 18 caps with Scotland.
