Johnson off to City Monday, 27th Nov 2000 11:34 Manchester sources are reporting that David Johnson has made a 'come and get me plea' to Manchester City manager Joe Royle. Johnson was previously at Manchester United and Bury and lived in Wythenshawe during his spell in the north and id known to have enjoyed living in the city. The striker has been out of favour at Town this season with Marcus Stewart the man in form and the two of them never really gelling when both are in the side. Johnson has been linked with City before and Royle's side are certainly in need of a striker. However, we'd be surprised if Town were willing to part with the £1.1 million signing at this stage of the season.
