We've heard reports this morning that Town recently failed in another bid to bring Club Brugge star Gert Verheyen to the club.

The Blues had a protracted deal with Verheyen collapse about six weeks ago (see NewsNet virtually everyday from the beginning of October), but it seems that as recently as two weeks ago Town tried to land him once more.

This new move could have been triggered by Brugge being knocked out of Europe. Verheyen was very keen to join the Blues, but his club, flying high in the Belgian League, didn't want to let him go.
