Keeper coach Andy Rhodes says he is very much looking forward to working with new Icelandic stopper Óskar Pétursson. TWTD first broke the news that the highly-rated U17 international will join the Blues in the summer on a two-year academy scholarship.

Rhodes said: "I'm really excited about Óskar coming over. It is a blank canvas to work with as he has not had a goalkeeping coach before and he has tremendous natural talent."

The coach is similarly impressed with his current roster of glovesmen: "I'm extremely proud of all of them. I don't think there is anyone better than Kelvin in the league. I certainly wouldn't swap him for anyone else."

Davis's fellow professionals clearly agree with Rhodes, the Town keeper having been named in the PFA Championship Team of the Year on Sunday.

Young Shane Supple has also made a big impression this season and was widely regarded as the man of the match in Friday's FA Youth Cup final second leg against Southampton.

Second-choice Lewis Price has done a good job when called on to deputise for Davis, as he did at Leeds on Saturday, and received his first call into the senior Welsh squad earlier in the season.
