Winger Jaime Peters played just under an hour of Canada's 2-1 defeat to Honduras in a warm-up match ahead of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Peters, who will officially join the Blues when he returns from the tournament, was winning his eighth full international cap.

Canada head coach Frank Yallop replaced the 18-year-old with Norwich midfielder Jim Brennan in the 58th minute.

The Canadians travel to Seattle on July 3rd ahead of their first Gold Cup group game against Costa Rica on July 7th. They subsequently take on the USA on July 9th and Cuba on July 12th.
