Billy Clarke, Owen Garvan and Shane Supple have all been named in the Republic of Ireland squad for the first qualifying phase of the UEFA U19 European Championship later in the month.

Town are likely to ask if Garvan and Supple can be withdrawn as the Ireland games clash with the first team matches with Reading and Coventry.

The Irish host the tournament and take on Italy, Moldova and Northern Ireland with the top two from the group going through to the 'elite' phase of qualifying. The finals will be played in Poland next summer.

Ireland play Northern Ireland on Sunday, 16th October at Turner's Cross, Moldova at Cobh on Tuesday, 18th October and Italy on Thursday, 20th October, also at Turner's Cross.
