McEveley for Scotland?

On-loan defender Jay McEveley says he could opt to play international football for Scotland. The Liverpool-born Blackburn player qualifies for the Scots through his grandfather.

McEveley has been capped by England at U20 and U21 levels but says he is more likely to play senior football for the side currently managed by Walter Smith: "I have to weigh up my options and playing regular football for Scotland is a possibility."

Striker Sam Parkin is also hopeful of progressing into the full Scotland side. The former Swindon man, who qualifies via his Dundee-born mother, made one appearance for a Scotland Future team last season.
