Naylor on Way Back
Naylor on Way Back

Broken leg victim Richard Naylor is nearing full fitness and is at an important stage of his recovery. The Yorkshireman will start running and will hope that he can get back in the running for a place soon.

Whilst out injured Town have signed Alun Armstrong, however Naylor doesn't seem overly concerned: "A new striker has come, but I'm not disheartened by that. I've shown I can do a good job in the Premiership and I want to do so again. Situations can change dramatically in football, one minute you are in and the next minute you are out."

Naylor will hope that this is the end of a long period of injuries. Most of last season was blighted by his tendinitis problems before his operations in the summer. The beginning of this season was spent convalescing from that surgery before he returned to the first team. Shortly afterwards he was diagnosed as suffering a broken leg in the game with Middlesbrough, an injury he had played a couple of games on.

Norfolk-based ECN newspaper and website the Pink 'Un has finally got rid of its much criticised (by Town and Budgie fans alike) Countdown Clock. The oh-so-witty idea was that they would count down the days until Town were relegated from the Premiership. However, all has not gone to our feathered friends' rather ill-thought out little plan.

While Town sit proudly in fourth in the Premiership (already with enough points to have avoided relegation last season) Norwich City languish well down Division One just four points off relegation. It seems even our Norfolk friends are getting the message that we are Premiership class!
